The 2011 President of HSM is Dr. Mark Henry. Dr. Henry is a charter member of HSM and has served on the board since its inception. Dr. Henry is a 1986 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating with High Distinction. He completed residency in Ophthalmology at Indiana University in 1990 and has practiced in Somerset, KY since that time.
Dr. Henry has served on several non-profit boards and organizations over recent years in Somerset including the Pulaski County Board of Health, the Lake Cumberland District Board of Health, the YMCA board, the Somerset Christian School Board, the Board of the Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians, the Deacon Board and Missions Committee of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
The current past-President of the HSM board is Dr. George Rooney of Glasgow, KY. Dr. Rooney served HSM as president in 2010 and did a great job.
