10 Important Tips

TOP TEN THINGS

Tickets: The rule is that you will DEFINITELY forget your tickets if you put them in a special place.

Passport: What’s a passport?

Extra Socks: Just remember, wearing the same pair of socks the entire trip might not be as comfortable as you thought, particularly after wading through that river.

One Word: Underwear

The Right Kind of Shoes: Think ahead. Those shoes may be stylish but do you really want to walk 5  miles in the jungle wearing them? Rule of thumb: New shoes = blisters

Medication: If you are currently taking prescription medication, it is a good idea to bring not just enough medication, but extra, in case travel plans change. Please remember  that you are traveling to an area where medication may not be attainable. Don’t forget to bring your malaria medication.

Important Contact Numbers: Even though you are trying to get away from it all, don’t leave your address book at home. Just in case an emergency does occur, you should have fast access to the person you need to call at home for help.

Toothbrush: It helps to avoid the “Furry Teeth Syndrome”. You and your traveling companions will be much happier if you can brush your teeth. Don’t assume you can buy one when you get there

ID Tags on your Baggage: Baggage tags are required. It is a good idea to put baggage tags on the inside of your luggage as well, in case the outside tag becomes lost.
